The Western Zonal Prayer Summit (WZPS) 2026 was a remarkable gathering of Catholic medical and dental students from across the Western Zone, united by the theme, “One Accord, One Fire.” Hosted by FECAMDS UNILORIN, the summit provided a refreshing opportunity for participants to grow spiritually, strengthen bonds of fellowship, and reflect on their shared mission as future healthcare professionals rooted in the Catholic faith.
A total of 124 participants registered for the summit, comprising 123 student delegates and one alumnus. Members from eight chapters across the Western Zone were represented, demonstrating the unity and commitment that continue to strengthen the Federation.

We sincerely appreciate the chapter executives, our alumnus, and every delegate who traveled from different chapters to be part of this gathering. Your presence, dedication, and active participation contributed immensely to the success of the summit and made it a truly memorable experience.
Throughout the programme, participants were immersed in powerful sessions of prayer, praise, and worship that fostered a deeper encounter with God. The teachings, inspired by the theme, emphasized the importance of unity in Christ and encouraged members to remain steadfast in faith while serving the Church, society, and the medical profession. The summit also provided opportunities for meaningful fellowship, allowing members from different chapters to connect, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one family.
More than just a zonal programme, WZPS 2026 was a reminder of the beauty and strength found in walking together in faith. Just as the disciples gathered in one accord before the coming of the Holy Spirit, delegates were encouraged to embrace unity, support one another, and allow God to work through them in their various chapters and future careers.
As participants returned to their campuses, they did so with renewed zeal for prayer, evangelization, service, and fraternity, carrying the fire of the summit back to their respective chapters.
May the spirit of unity and the fire kindled during WZPS 2026 continue to burn brightly in our hearts, inspiring us to remain one in Christ and to serve humanity with compassion, excellence, and unwavering faith.
